Saint-Ambroise parish church
The church of Saint-Ambroise probably dates back to the 12th century, but the interior decoration (wall paintings and polychromy) was executed in several campaigns between the 12th and 15th centuries.

WALL PAINTINGS:
1) The Last Judgement (early 13th century)
Wall of the flat chevet: upper register: On a draped seat, his feet resting on a sort of stool, Christ is about to pronounce the terrible sentence. On his right and on his left, angels are carrying the cross and the other Instruments of the Passion. On the right, an angel is blowing a trumpet.
Upper register: a priest wearing a chasuble, a stole, a manutergium and an alb, is standing, but his legs are concealed by a grave. His left arm is held up, as though he were struck with awe. With his right hand, he is giving his blessing according to the Greek ritual; thumb and middle finger are joined and the three other fingers are pointing upwards. A man, draped in a long robe, is looking heavenwards and praying. A naked woman, wearing a headband, her right hand supporting her left elbow, is sitting close to a man - her husband - who is in the same position. Their heads are inclined and rest on their left hands. Another couple, their right hands supporting their left elbows, their heads leaning on their right hands, are still richly dressed.
