Saint-Pierre-du-Lorouër
The church was probably built in the 11th or 12thcentury, but underwent alterations until the 16th century. The herring-bone pattern work seems to indicate that the nave is the oldest surviving part.
Mural paintings: "The Funeral of Renaud", still legible, dates back to the 13thcentury. The lower register shows the deceased in a lidless coffin. A priest is holding a processional cross and another is shaking the aspersiorum. An officiant is swinging a censer, while a priest is reading the absolution from a book.
In the upper register, the deceased, whose soul has been transported to Heaven by an angel, is praying to Jesus, accompanied by his mother and a cleric. On the left, Abraham and Jesus Christ sit enthroned.
