FROMENTIERES LE BOURGNEUF (MAYENNE): chapelle du Bourgneuf
The chapel, situated in the village of Fromentières (Mayenne, near Château-Gontier), is of Romanesque origin, but was already a ruin in the 19th century.
THE WALL PAINTINGS
They date from the Romanesque period (the late 13th century, but are hardly legible. On the intrados of the chancel screen, traces of angels and part of a calendar of the labours of the months.
