The chapel is now private property but was open to the public for the first time in centuries last September (2005). It stands on the hill of Vignemont at Loches and dates from the 12th century. I was originally dedicated to St. John, then St. Mary, Our Lady and finally St. Nicholas. It was in the graveyard depending on the parish of St-Ours, where the monks of Beaulieu had gained the right of burying the inhabitants of Loches
