EGLISE SAINT-GEORGES

Saint-Georges-du-Rosay

The nave and chancel with its semidomed apse are Romanesque. The transept and a curious fortified avant-corps were added in the 16th century. The fortifications complete with bartizans, loops and battlement - the latter has been replaced by a half-span roof - were built during the troubled period of the Wars of Religion
