Saint-Martin-des-Bois

EGLISE SAINT-MARTIN

Part of the nave of the church dedicated to St. Martin - bishop of Tours in 371 - is pre-Romanesque. It might date back to the 9th or 10th century. The west door, which is preceded by a more recent stone porch (16th C.), dates from the 12th century. The massive tower, erected in the 13th century, may originally have been surmounted by a stone spire
