VAAS CHURCH

The church dates back to the 12thcentury. It was built in white stone. It is surmounted by a massive square tower. The Romanesque chevet was erected in the 12thand 13thcenturies. The nave and transept were rebuilt in the 15thcentury. In an apsidiole of the left arm of the transept vestiges of mural paintings are still visible, in particular a Christ in majesty accompanied by the Evangelists
