ANGERS: SAINT-AUBIN ABBEY

The abbey was founded in the 6thcentury but the church tower and the cloister that can be seen today date back to the 11th and 12th centuries.

One of the double arcatures of the cloister is adorned with a sculpted Virgin and Child on the central double spandrel and paintings on the flat parts of the arches.
