Asnières-sur-Vègre

The ground plan of the church, dedicated to Saint Hilaire de Poitiers, is simple: a rectangular nave prolonged by a narrower rectangular choir. The nave dates back to the 11^thcentury, whereas the choir was almost entirely rebuilt in the late 13^thcentury. The walls of the church are adorned with numerous mural paintings: eighteen campaigns have been identified between the 1150s and the 16^th century.
