THE CAPITALS OF THE NAVE

Saumur

A crowned king slays the dragon. The king is only the symbol of the "governance" of our own self. The dragon - a symbol of evil - threatened his spiritual evolution. In plain language, each man must govern himself by killing the "Old Man" who, since the Fall, prevents him from developing a true spiritual life.
